After a few days of exploring, and finishing up settling in, we hitched up and headed towards Nevada to spend a week with Maple’s brother and his two kids. As it turned out we we’re heading into Reno while the Street Vibrations motorcycle rally was going on and most of the RV parks in Reno/Sparks were all booked up.

Thanks to the GoodSam app however we found the highly rated Bordertown RV Resort in Bordertown, NV. That left us about 20 minutes outside of Reno which was close enough for our needs. Read on for our review of the park.

THE GOOD:

Bordertown RV Resort is a lovely park with level concrete pads, well manicured lawns, a small round picnic table, and full hook ups at each site. The office staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the office sold a handful of RV items. There is a laundry room located at the bathroom building between the office and the enclosed dog run. Finally, the prices we’re great.

THE BAD:

The bathroom situation wasn’t bad, just a bit of a mixed bag. There are bathroom stalls on one side of the building and shower rooms on the other side. The bathrooms were clean and functional and perfectly fine. The showers, while each in their own room, were small and a bit awkward as there was a sink next to the shower. We ended up using the handicapped shower to have more space. Why put them in the bad section? Well, there really wasn’t anything bad about this park so I figured I’d put the mixed here instead.

THE VERDICT:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bordertown RV Resort. It’s close to Reno/Sparks but feels like it’s off the beaten path. There really was nothing much to complain about and finding something to put down as ‘The Bad’ required a stretch. Affordable, friendly, and convenient. We loved it here.
